Three Dead After Two Boats Collide on Lake St. Clair Near MacRay Harbor, Michigan

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, a 23-foot Formula Thunderbird and a 28-foot Sea Ray Sundancer collided on Lake St. Clair near MacRay Harbor in Harrison Township, Macomb County. The Thunderbird capsized; a surviving passenger swam ashore and called 911, and deputies recovered three people from the overturned boat early Thursday. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating, and the Sea Ray's operator is reported to be cooperating.

Yacht Breaks Loose and Sinks Against Harbour Wall at Margate, Kent

On Thursday, October 8, 2026, a yacht moored at Margate Harbour in Kent broke free after its mooring lines snapped, and heavy swell and northerly winds drove it against the harbour wall, where it was badly damaged and sank. No one was aboard and no injuries were reported. HM Coastguard attended and notified its Counter Pollution Team.
