Tony Le, 63, died after falling overboard near channel marker 18 south of Maximo Park in St. Petersburg during a Saturday family boating trip. Le, who had medical impairments, was reportedly wearing a life jacket when he boarded but had taken it off before falling into the water as the vessel traveled at about 10 mph. After a multi-agency search involving the U.S. Coast Guard and Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, divers recovered his body on Sunday afternoon; investigators currently believe the drowning was accidental.

Bass Boat Operator Thrown From Vessel, Injured on Tennessee River in Morgan County, Alabama
On the morning of April 13, 2026, emergency crews responded to a boat wreck on the Tennessee River near mile marker 306, close to the Wolverine Plant on the north side of the river in Morgan County, Alabama. The sole occupant of the bass boat was ejected and sustained an apparent broken arm, and was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital. The Alabama State Trooper Marine Patrol Division is investigating.
