Sailor Rescued After Sailboat Runs Aground on Santa Rosa Island, California

A 25-foot sailboat ran aground on Santa Rosa Island off the Southern California coast on Thursday, September 26, 2026, around 12:18 p.m. The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted the sole occupant aboard an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter to Camarillo Airport, where the person was evaluated and found uninjured. Two Georgia Anglers Rescued After Fishing Boat Sinks 75 Miles Off Brunswick

Calvin Roman and Zachary Wade survived after their 30-foot fishing boat rapidly took on water and sank roughly 75 miles offshore of Brunswick, Georgia, over the weekend of September 19-20, 2026.
