Nashua Man Killed After Personal Watercraft Collides With Pontoon Boat on Merrimack River
A 31-year-old Nashua man, Erick H. Machado, died Sunday evening, July 26, after the personal watercraft he was riding collided with the rear of a pontoon boat on the Merrimack River in Hudson, New Hampshire. Machado entered the water and was struck by the pontoon boat's propeller, suffering severe leg injuries; bystanders helped bring him aboard another boat, but he was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts by Hudson first responders. New Hampshire Marine Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the collision.

Kayaker, 75, Dies on North Fork of the White River Near Dora, Missouri
A 75-year-old man from St. Charles, Missouri, died Saturday, July 25, while kayaking on the North Fork of the White River near Dora in Ozark County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man suffered a medical emergency that caused his kayak to overturn and him to lose consciousness; emergency personnel rendered first aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Patrol worked two additional accidents on area waterways the same day, including two tubing injuries on Table Rock Lake.
